Using Crunch to create dictionary

In recent post I talked about hacking WPA/WPA2 wireless network, there I mentioned about crunch. Crunch is used to generate word list from set of characters. We’ll use this to create our dictionary and use it to crack password.
I’ll use Kali 1.0.2 installed in VMware for this post. If you don’t know how to install Linux in VMware click here.

Basic syntax of crunch is:

Install ubuntu in VMware

I’m using VMware Workstation 10.0.0. If you don’t have VMware you can download it from here. I’ll provide you some activation keys in case you don’t have them. Here is the list, try anyone when VMware prompts for it:
